Happy New Year! January freebie

Happy New Year! The fireworks are blasting all around my house here in Germany as I am typing. I decided that this year I'd make a different resolution instead of my same old usual resolutions such as "lose weight", or the one I've had every year since I was ten, "stop biting my nails". This year, my goal is to be more positive. That means I want to choose to focus on what is good in my kids, my husband, my family, my friends, my job, and MYSELF. :)

And in other news, I was fortunate enough to have the chance to test out Bannerwoman's newest layer styles. She has been busy, busy, busy making a load of styles to add to her stores! I tried out every single one in PSE 4 & 5, and I love 'em!

To be honest, I haven't used layer styles at all until I tested these, and now I am sold! Take a basic shape, add a layer style, and you have a unique, customized element! It's really neat! :)

Happy Holidays! Card/BB Page Freebie

I've been working on my Christmas card today. It's only the 6th of December, this is amazing for me! :) I usually end up sending out a "New Year's" card! Here's a peek:

I used another word art that I bought last week from Elegant Word Art by Bethany. For some reason, I find that scrapping anything that uses her word art is truly "scrap therapy" for me!

I liked the way it turned out so well that I decided I ought to share the design with you all! :) Here is a modified version that you are welcome to use as a card or brag book page. Personal use/S4H/S4O.
