A layout done by my hubby!

My husband did this a couple nights ago. No, seriously! He did! He picked up my newest copy of Digital Scrapbooking magazine, found a technique he wanted to figure out, and he did it! I was quite impressed! :)

Freebie: Edge of Reason kit!

As promised, here is my first kit for download! Special thanks to the people who helped me to figure out how to zip a file. Wow. WAY too easy! Seriously. Just click a button. I overcomplicated everything! I had to get up at 5:00am to do this uninterrupted by my little ones, I think THAT was the true reason for the holdup. I CAN'T FOCUS! lol!

While this kit is for personal use, it is also S4H/S4O friendly! ;) I know TOUs can be confusing, so I will clarify this point: S4H does not = Commerical use! Any questions on this, please e-mail me: joy@sharejoymemories.com

Enjoy! And I'd LOVE to see some LOs! (You will be rewarded! Add-ons!)

Please note that there are 3 separate links! :)

Baby announcements

I've been working on my Scrap-for-hire website the past few days. I know I promised that freebie kit a week ago! SORRY!!! I need to figure out how to zip the files. (Any help?!?) I'm not very computer savvy, but I'm discovering that most things are not as tricky as I make them out to be! I will try to get to that ASAP.

Here are two birth announcement samples that I designed a few days ago:(Credits: Photo taken by me! The parents and baby named here are ficticious! Ribbon from Dreaming of Spring by Michelle Underwood. White paper from Beautimous by Summer Driggs. Brown/pink paper by Share Joy - yes, me! Edwardian and Eurostile fonts.)
(Credits: Photos taken by my little sis, Anna! Ribbon from Boy oh Boy by Summer Driggs . Edwardian and Eurostile fonts.)

By the way, if you have not checked out Summer Driggs' digital scrapbooking kits, you really ought to! I love her work, and all of her kits are free. I like them so much that I purchased a commercial use license from her!

A link for military couples and LOs

Good morning (or afternoon or evening, whatever it might be for you)! First off, another CT layout for Brittney Ferguson! I LOVE the way this one turned out! I have to laugh everytime I look at it!!! Brittney Ferguson's John from the Star Collection kit. Kunstler script font.

Someone sent me a link of resources designed with military spouses/couples in mind. 50 best relationship resources and sites for military couples There are a couple articles in particular that caught my attention because they are different from the norm, for example, "How to Inform Your Spouse that You do not Want to Attend a Military Heart Link Class" (lol!) and "My Married yet Strangely Single Life as an Army Wife" (not so lol...)

Military life is so complicated sometimes... Which leads me on to another layout I put together last night. This photo was taken at the "hotel" at our new base when we were in the process of moving this past December:

Michelle Underwood's Rush kit. Roladex card from Michelle Underwood's Chase kit. Georgia and Weltron Urban font.

Text reads: The move from Aviano to Ramstein seemed to drag on and on. We were without a place to call our own for two months. With these three litle ones, it was even harder. They didn't have their own space, their own toys, their own consistent schedule... Yet, they didn't care! They were happy! They had Mama, Daddy, and each other, and that was all they seemed to need.

New pages and my morning rantings

This morning as I attempted to put in an Elmo video (yes, a real VHS one, there are still a few lurking in our house!), I discovered that my VCR would not eject the tape already inside. I peeked inside and found a matchbox car perched atop the casette that was firmly in place.
All my neighbors heard it: "WHO PUT A CAR IN THE VCR?!?"
Adding to the huge list of titles that all mothers hold: Professional Electronic Toy Extractors... and today I earned my license to practice.

And now for some new layouts!
My zany family...This was a blast to scrap! I'm amazed at how many people I was able to display on one page without it feeling too crunched together!

I rarely get to use girly colors since I have all these little boys running around and they are the subject of so many of my layouts, so I was excited at how this layout turned out!
We had fun this last week-end. It was so nice outside, we had to take a trip to the zoo!!! Here I am with my oldest son:
